Care And Prejudice

Nearly half of children in care are afraid of prejudice or bullying, or of being treated "differently" if people know their background, according to this Ofsted report. It reports on the prejudices they face as a result of being in care and clarifies that bullying is a significant problem for young people in care and for all those who are responsible for their health and well being. Only by the introduction of bullying prevention programmes, for all young people in care and the professionals who work with them will we see a reduction in the number of young people in care who fear and experience bullying and prejudice.
