Higher Education in STEM subjects

The Government in their Plan for Growth attach great importance to education and hi-tech industry in order to create jobs and prosperity. However, there appears to be a mismatch between the STEM graduates that higher education institutes supply and the demand from employers. This report looks at the definition of STEM subjects and the actual skills required to meet the needs of the economy. Leadership Briefing issue 7.02(74)
