Dealing with parental complaints

spacer

Parental complaints are becoming more common both in the state sector and in the private sector. As parents become more and more aware of the meritocratic society that we live in, and the importance of a sound education for their children, they are increasingly inclined to take action against issues that may arise at schools. This article sets out the different ways to challenge schools in the two different sectors mentioned above, and the potential remedies that might be available. It is important to note that school complaints are distinct from any appeals that might arise internally at school against, for example, a permanent exclusion. Leadership Briefing issue 7.01(73)
