Pupil Absence In Schools In England: 2010/11

This DfE report reveals that almost 400,000 persistently absent children missed at least a month of school in the 2010/11 school year. The statistics also show that children on free school meals, or those with special educational needs, were around three times more likely to be persistently absent.
