Youth Mental Health: New Economic Evidence


More than half of teenagers and young people with mental health problems in the UK do not receive any clinical treatment, amounting to a moral scandal and enormous economic mistake, according to this new LSE study. The report examines the economic challenges of youth mental health problems in England and focuses on adolescents and young adults. The report was prepared by LSE’s Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU), and funded by the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network.
